I like to help my students make connections between what they are learning (whatever subject that may be), and mathematics. I feel that seeing the relation between two subjects allows the student to see just how it is applied to real life. I like to show students techniques used to remember information, and understand important concepts in the material they are learning. I worked as a teacher's aide at a college, have taught math at the high school level for two years, and been a math tutor for five years. I have worked with many different students, from middle school age to college.I offer tutoring in pre-algebra, algebra 1-4, elementary and middle school math, precalculus, trigonometry, calculus 1-3, geometry, finite mathematics, AP calculus AB, AP calculus BC, and test prep in ACT math and SAT math. I am a graduate of Indiana State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.When I'm not working, I love to play video games (on console, PC, and phone), go to the movies, and knit. I also enjoy participating in outdoor activities, like swimming and playing tennis, and working in my garden.
