Before becoming a tutor, I attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where I received my bachelor's degree in biological sciences. I have forever enjoyed helping others, in particular anyone who is younger than me. This started with my little sister, as I have always been a mentor to her. I have taken the same role with my younger cousins and members of my Church. In fact, I spend a great deal of time tutoring my younger cousin in science and math. I truly enjoy being able to spend time with him and help him to grasp the subject matter that he is struggling with.As a tutor, my goal is to clarify any concepts that the student is unable to understand. My experience in subjects like algebra, geometry, biology, and chemistry gives me the ability to assist students as they reach their academic goals in those disciplines.Whenever I have time where I am not teaching anyone, there is a good chance that I will be playing or watching sports. In particular, I love all of Washington's major sports teams: The Redskins, and Wizards, and Nationals. I also enjoy working out at the gym and playing the steel pans.
