Experience
Teaching is a huge pleasure for me, and I love being able to work with my students to improve and learn from their errors. It's a great accomplishment for me as a teacher to see students come to clarity, overcome obstacles, and reach success in their studies. I taught fourth grade students for two years at the American International School of Bolivia. While teaching there, I worked with a group of about 30 students. In my work, I was able to come up with a panoply of teaching techniques in order to help all students learn and feel engaged in their work. I've worked with students with learning disabilities, and I feel comfortable helping students with different needs. It's important to me to receive feedback from students and constantly analyze what I'm doing well and what I can improve upon to best serve my students. I'm experienced in teaching Spanish and French. I have also lived abroad, so I can aid students in preparing to live and study in immersive environments abroad. I can also teach ESL/ELL, Math, Reading, Writing, Phonics, and test prep. I attended Marlboro College in Vermont, as well as the University of Maryland-College Park. In my free time, I love photography, writing, cooking, and singing.
