I’m a humble and dedicated tutor. I hold a BA in Economics and an MSc in Economics [Development Policy Analysis] both from Mekelle University. I have over 5 years of teaching experience at Dilla University, and have held the positions of Graduate Assistant, Assistant Lecturer and Lecture in the Department of Economics. Teaching is what I'm called to do. I believe any subject is simple – but sometimes you may need someone to show you the way. This is one of my top motivations to appreciate tutoring. I'm also passionate about sharing my love and wisdom with students and watching young minds flourish. In my opinion, people have different learning styles. Consequently, I utilize different methodologies to explain concepts and to resolve problems. My teaching philosophy revolves around the Chinese axiom “Give a man a fish and you have fed him once. Teach him how to fish and you have fed him for a lifetime ". I went to an exceptional high school where math and science subjects were given special emphasis. I have exceeded expectations in linear algebra, statistics, calculus, mathematical economics and econometrics at both undergrad and grad classes. Moreover, I thought linear algebra and statistics at university level. Hence, when it comes to math, I understand what really works for students. I specialized in economics and I have a good command over the course. Having taught introduction to economics, microeconomics and macroeconomics, I argue that the key to understand economics is to relate theories into real world practices.
