Education

My name is Kristen and I recently earned my MS in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I graduated with honors in Marine Science with a minor in Classical Humanities from Eckerd College.

Experience

I moved to Washington, DC, for an environmental policy fellowship in 2012. I have been tutoring part time in a variety of subjects at both the high school and undergraduate level since 2009. I served as a teaching assistant for biology labs during graduate school, as well as while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree. While at UNC Wilmington, I was a graduate tutor at the University Learning Center. I am passionate about biology, but also have a strong background in public policy and US history. I really enjoy helping students connect with challenging material and making it relevant to them, as well as helping them meet their goals.
