I attended both the University of Southern California and Columbia University in NYC, but I am a native Texan. I have worked in the fields of social work and psychology, and much of my work has involved studying and helping children who have suffered through traumatic experiences. While working, I strive to help vulnerable children progress through their child-development stages successfully, and I have worked with children both in the United States and in various other countries. My background working with these children helps me be a productive tutor for children who may have behavior problems. I can lead these children through very successful learning sessions. I simply love children, because their spirits and positive outlooks on life always amaze me. Subjects I tutor include elementary math, middle school math, pre-algebra, reading, American history, social sciences, social studies, English, and various psychology and social work courses. I am willing to work with both ESL and native English speakers. When not tutoring, I love to travel. I have traveled to many countries, and learning about the cultures and the histories of these countries has always been an interest of mine. I also enjoy cooking, reading, writing, and watching good movies.
