In 2003, I moved from Germany to America. After graduating from secondary school, I enrolled in Temple University and eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At a later date, I began working on attaining my master's degree in European History at American University. During my years of academic studies, I've tutored students in German but I also tutor other subjects, including Algebra 1 and 2, Arithmetic, Middle School Math, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, European History, Social Studies, Languages, Math, and more. I can also assist with summer tutoring. I'm eager to tutor at a professional tutoring organization because my ultimate objective is to teach at the secondary grade level or become a college professor. My teaching philosophy is that learning is a mutual exchange of information between student and teacher. That is why academic success depends on building a strong foundation based upon a health and trusting relationship between the tutor and the student. I believe that I can help just about any struggling student master his or her subject matter. I am especially interested in assisting with historical topics, German, or math. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time biking, reading, hiking, or playing soccer.
