Experience
I am a knowledgeable tutor specializing in mathematics subjects. I love learning and I really enjoy sharing that passion with others. I worked as a TA in Algebra-1,2 [1 semester each] and as a tutor at my school’s Mathematics Tutorial Lab [for the last 2 years] where I helped students with a variety of subjects, from Basic Algebra to Vector Calculus and Intro to Proofs. Currently, I am working as a private tutor in the following subjects: Basic/Elementary Algebra, SAT math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra-1,2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus-1,2, Applied/Business Calculus. In addition to these subjects, I am also willing to tutor in French and Economics. I have experience working with students in High School (a sophomore, juniors, seniors), in College (all levels and most subjects), and with 1 professional (MBA student). I have not worked with students in Middle School; however, I will relish such opportunity. My methodology is to provide appropriate guidance to the student so that she/he can discover the solution by herself/himself. I do this by using questions and comments that will guide the student’s thinking process/approach to the problem/concept. In addition, I always try to relate seemingly hard/abstract mathematical ideas to concrete/pragmatic illustrations.
