I am a tutor who is skilled in a wide range of subject areas. I'm here to work with students in elementary math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, statistics, Spanish, reading, writing, literature, American history, economics, psychology, finance, geography, nutrition, social studies, business, and a variety of other subjects. I can also help students prepare for their standardized exams like the SAT, and I can teach English as a second language. I earned my degree in Economics at Queens College, and I am currently pursuing my master's in Secondary Education. I particularly enjoy working with students on their math skills because once they understand how to solve a problem, the answer is always there! As a tutor I understand that every student learns differently. I tailor my teaching approach to the individual needs of my students. I engage my students, asking questions and figuring out where exactly they are struggling. I promote a positive tutoring environment in which my students can develop a genuine interest for the subject material we are working on. When I'm not tutoring or studying I enjoy salsa dancing, and a wide variety of sports. I like kickboxing, volleyball, billiards, archery, badminton, running, and any other new sport that I can try!
