Education

I attended the Singapore American School for high school, where I earned a 4.2 GPA. I graduated with a Bachelor of Foreign Service in International Politics from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a certificate in International Development in May 2017. My cumulative GPA at Georgetown was 3.86, and my major GPA was 3.94.

Experience

I have previously tutored middle school students while in high school in English and math. I earned 800 on the SAT Verbal section and 760 in Writing, with essay. In high school I took AP US History, AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics, and AP Psychology. I earned an A or A+ in all of my AP courses and scored a five on all of the exams. Besides taking courses within my major at Georgetown, I took classes on philosophy, English, history, among others. During the summer of 2016, I served as an educator for the Summer Institute of Teaching and Learning. Through this program, I was responsible for teaching literacy skills to a class of 16 rising fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-graders in Washington, DC. I learned several pedagogical techniques for both class and one-on-one learning. I have spent the last year working as a research assistant at the Atlantic Council.

Hobbies

While in high school and college, my primary hobby was theater. I worked as a sound designer and stage manager mostly, but I also was a set designer and helped out wherever else I could. I was also on the club leadership board in both high school and college. Besides theater, I spend a lot of time watching movies and even host a podcast about the romantic plot lines of different films. I read extensively in both fiction and non-fiction, as well. My favorite genres and subjects are history and historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, as well as almost anything I can get my hands on.
