Experience

I am an enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics with more than 15 years of teaching experience. I’ve successfully taught middle and high schools. I have also tutored pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry to students of mixed abilities in the United States and abroad. I have a passion for teaching mathematics. I enable learners overcome barriers in learning through the use of real-world examples and explorational learning. I always endeavour to make learning relevant by relating to real life experiences and by developing learners’ problem-solving skills. I’ve been actively involved in learners’ evaluation and in helping learners evaluate their learning progress throughout the learning process. In my teaching, I like to offer support and encouragement to learners and to provide them with opportunities to learn from mistakes and master what they learn through further practice. Through practical sessions, I am able to develop students’ cognitive and analytical skills. I am keen to encourage students’ participation in co-curricular activities which help to develop an all rounded individual.
