Experience
I graduated from University of Maryland - College Park May 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Statistics. I currently attend Columbia University's Teachers College for the Applied Statistics masters program. I have over 3 years tutoring experience. I worked with Noyce Scholars Program, where I tutored math at Nicholas Orem middle school and Northwestern High School. At Northwestern, I've led many different math classes including trigonometry, pre-calculus, Algebra, and Calculus. My main class was the ESL Math class where I achieved the highest increase in test scores during that school year. At Nicholas Orem, I worked with the Avid program that aims to assist students that would be first generation college goers. There, I tutored math to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade children in groups of 5 or 6. In addition to this, I have also done personal tutoring and have planned and hosted programs that have introduced STEM topics to over 300 minority students.
