I strongly believe in education and succeeding in academics. My strong interpersonal skills, consisting of motivating others, mentorship and being accountable, assist me in various projects and teams while working on developing initiatives. While at Goucher, I was a third year Residential Assistant where I developed my leadership skills by working with faculty and staff to create helpful programs and provide resources to residents. I also worked with different age groups in education as a director, mentor and tutor for inner city Baltimore high school students in the Upward Bound program at Morgan State University. I also taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics and served as a Residential Assistant for high school students in the Upward Bound Program at George Washington University. I especially enjoyed helping the students prepare resumes and personal statements for upcoming college applications. I created workshops focusing on career goals and some social topics to engage the students' interest.
