Experience
As a tutor, I believe in working with my students to help them have a clear understanding of what they are learning. I also enjoy using mnemonics to help them retain the information they have learned. I believe in using a series of questions to help them apply what they have learned to real life, as well, because it better helps them understand the connection.I gained experience as a tutor when I was a teaching assistant for various Science courses, including Anatomy and Biology. I instructed lab courses of up to 18 students, and helped them use and maintain equipment in a safe manner. I also had biweekly sessions for students who needed additional help in both lectures and lab work. In addition, I have tutored my brother, who is high-functioning autistic, in Math and Science courses at the high school level.I offer my students tutoring in Biology, Microbiology, Physiology, Summer Tutoring, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, IB Biology HL and SL, Ecology, Science, General Biology, and Study Skills.I am a graduate of the University of Charleston. I also graduated from Seton Hall University. When I am not busy working with students, I love to play a good tennis game.
