I attended The Catholic University of America, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. During my college years, I spent some time tutoring engineering and math courses, and I found that I have a passion for helping students learn. After college, I spent a number of years working in engineering before I decided on teaching full time. Right now, I am a mathematics teacher at a small school in Rockville, MD. It seems that many students find math intimidating, and it is my goal to help them overcome any and all fears to be successful in math. I do this by making the class work fun and engaging, and using games and hands on learning to help the students master the material. I really enjoy it when I see that the student "gets it." I am available to tutor a number of subjects, including algebra 1, elementary math, middle school math, pre-algebra, and algebra 2. Besides teaching, I enjoy being a football coach, playing sports, and going to the movies. I look forward to hearing from you. I would love to work with you and help you achieve your goals.
